Rubbles, twisted steel
coloured rags scattered on roads
wailing voices, quiet tears and desperation,
the camera eye
reporting for hours to the world -
it’s so far away here by the telly
turning away sending the SMS rescue
changing the channel
a little tremble in the eye
quickly rejected
ah shit snow tomorrow again
put another log on the fire darling.

No use
Posted by ashthor on January 13, 2010
They let him keep
the working clothes
and unemployment benefit
at least that after 30 years of work
he still wear his working clothes
as if can not understand
they do not need him anymore.
He can look for jobs from now on to judgments day,
old workers are not in demand
no one will touch them
he cling to his working clothes
since they had no use for him anymore.
-
a world shuttered
old and full of experience
they do not need us anymore
-
Inspiration from present life and folksinger Iain Mackintosh with words of Eric Bogle “no use for him”

Spring

Dark branches
with glittering white
a restraining gage
Winters prisoner
longing for freedom

A burning violin
show the way
through the night
lost hope regained
my love and I together again

Leonard
Posted by ashthor on December 29, 2009
Listen to Leonard
again
amazing words fill my mind
again
to sweep my soul
by dark words
spark of light
in any direction
who by fire
will take this dance
again
reclaiming power
listen to Leonard
again
take control of my life
again if ever

Life goes on
Posted by ashthor on December 18, 2009
Already gone ahead
but many will accompany him
the last few steps
By a friend’s funeral today.
