Event

Posted by ashthor on August 19, 2009

We have, for some years now, a rock festival. It’s placed at end of the summer in August.
The first morning the big tent was up, the swallows occupied the rope. Well it’s about this time they gather for the trip south so …

We call it Sensommer Rock - late summer Rock – hence the reference to “on golden pond” which in Danish became “I deres sensommer” (in their late summer).

Inspired by Jem at her place “sound of splinters” though not in paper but instead sand writing.

Calliope & Erato

It’s an
evaluation
a subprime being
of course
can you say it’s not?
The writer, the reader
they all tell the same story
embrace it – live with it
thrive with it

 Ship 1

Reflecting in water
image of ship
blurred unrecognized

Too late Shiki Monthly

Ship 2

Ship in water
reflected and blurred
unrecognized

Also too late for Shiki Monthly

 Ship 3

Tall ship
in harbor
waiting impatient

Yet another too late for Shiki Monthly

Thunder & lightning

Posted by ashthor on July 30, 2009

There was a discussion a little while ago about thunder & lightning in the past, present and future.
Remembering the thunder & lightning in the past as rather impressive events and treated with respect and awe.

Remembering that when we in 1963 moved from a southern town to a more northern town it seems to have more thunder & lightning, we still treated it with the respect as one should do, with this kind of nature’s magnificent events.

Up to the present days when in short time there has been two lightning strikes – one on a golf course and one on a soccer ground. The first one deadly, and the second is still in debate between the doctors and the masters above.

Our discussion ran along the line whether man was growing reckless, thinking we do as we please, and do it regardless of that nature is a powerful force, not to taken lightly.

Only fools
defy a true force of nature
thunder and lightning
