Letter

Well it’s about time to write – I know
I’m not that good at writing letters, not even to my family.
You know it’s often like this;
Hi, how are you, I’m fine, see me at http://ashi.kjaersweb.dk , well I have to go, see you, take care, yours Jens.
Now if Harry Potter had made another choice and for instance in my head instead of J. K. Rowling I wouldn’t be sitting here trying to write - it would be floating almost without hesitation, I hope.
On the other hand there’s others things I wouldn’t have done then, rebuilding our house for instance.
It’s about an endless journey rebuilding; you never really reach the end.
Now I take walks with my German shepherds dog Cassie, full name Ni-Busa’s Cassie, Ni-Busa is a small kennel which take pride in providing a good pedigree offspring.
We take walks, she reads the ‘ dog papers’ and I get fresh air, an occasional snapshoots, we are both happy about that.
My photographic life started when I got my first camera Kodak Instamatic, yeah a really oldie, just look and take the dammed picture.
Of course later I bought an Olympus, a reflex camera, and did a huge amount of pictures and slides all through the 1970′ies to mid 1980′ies (which also was the period where I was writing a lot of science fiction, poems and making fanzines) and then it stopped. Why?
You tell me? No of course not, I think there were two reasons; first the wave had reached the shore, there was no more power only nice beach.
The second reason has kept me busy since; wife, children, and work you name it every day’s need until
this year where I regained some power to start pushing another wave towards the beach and I hope there’s a long way to the beach.

Actually this was a letter to Blue Moose, who has deserved a letter by this time and it got a little out of hand well she’ll get it anyway indirectly.

There is no reason to let your self down by saying not being good in writing letters.
You are really you are.
The letter to Jenny shows a great deal about you.
The personal side of you I know a little more about and I am very proud of you son. I love you.

I had time to come back and read this — I really like it. Maybe I’ll write a haibun, too.
It’s been a long time since I have.

Isn´t writing a magic skill from the human being? When the words start to flow and we feel our thoughts becoming something real, concrete and material. Absolutely great.

I like the idea of writing letters, being personal with people, even if it is sometimes cheesy or could be better expressed in voice. For me, writing is an emotional response to my thoughts or feelings that I just need to let out.
